Thanks to everyone who prayed for me over this past week. The surgery, from what the doc said afterwards, went well, and the post-op visit showed that the pressure in my eye was way down, which is good news. The first couple of days were a little rough for me due to the drugs they gave me, which just made me very lethargic for a while and also precluded me from nursing Jonah for close to 24 hours (something that was hard for both of us) and a little bit of discomfort in my eye. Today is really the first day where I've woken up and not felt like I was bashed about in the eye a bit, and it's the first day I've been able to stand looking at the computer for more than ten minutes. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good, and I'm hoping my next post-op appointment, which is tomorrow, will go well, despite the fact that I haven't been following all of the directions given to me by the doctor, specifically the direction to not lift anything above 10 pounds. Seeing as how Jonah weighs nigh on 24 pounds, and it would be next to impossible not to have to pick him up numerous times during the day, that direction just sort of went by the wayside. Some rules were just meant to be broken.
